Rescue Me ID: 18-03-16-00115Willow (female)
Willow is full of playful energy, confidence and charm this lovely brindle pup is pure sunshine and joy when volunteers come to play with her. She is enjoys playtime with another of our similar sized pups and is thrilled for some time in the Kitten Room as can be seen in her video on her Facebook page (see bottom of post for link) Willow is 14 weeks old as of March 16, 2018. She was owner relinquished. She bears striking resemblance to the Australian Brindle Hound and also has similarities to the Tennessee Treeing Brindle. We anticipate she will be a solid good sized girl.High energy. Secure fenced yard required. Adoption fee $100. Willow has been dewormed and has age appropriate vaccines. A certificate is provided for spay and rabies vaccine by our local servicing vet when of age. Application form can be submitted online at the website at: https://www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/page/dog-adoption-application/ or at the shelter. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the website. Adoption of all dogs/cats requires an approval process to ensure that they are going into a home suitable for their needs and committed to their care and safety. The process typically takes 1-3 days. Each is placed with same due diligence that they would be given if they were our own furry family members. Adopters who are not within the local area of the shelter MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. Meeting approved adopters is one of the final steps in the adoption process. We do not permit transport or shipping of our residents without the adopter in attendance. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter which provides quality care, spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and for dogs-monthly heart worm prevention treatment. Resident animals are owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The shelter is not permitted by GA law to accept strays. The facility is usually operating at capacity with a list of animals approved for intake waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Closed Mondays Location: 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571, Phone: 706-865-4135 Email: email@example.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/smithgallhumanesociety/ Charles Smithgall Humane Society is located in the mountains of NE GA, 3 miles south of the alpine town of Helen. Katie is a sweet and loving lady. She was surrendered to the shelter after a dispute with some neighbors. She is used to being indoors and is house and crate trained. When Katie got to the shelter she made quick friends with our resident old timer Lady. They hang out in the yard together now and have a good time. They're just a couple of sweet hounds enjoying each other's company. Katie's adoption fee is $75. She is spayed, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and has started heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Katie and Lady, their adoption fee together is $125.

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-06-00225Sadie (female)
Meet sweet Sadie Sadie was found dumped on the side of a busy road in Dallas Texas one morning. It was a very hot day and She was very scared and confused. It looked as if she had a littler of puppies but there were none to be found anywhere. - she did not move for three days out of fear just watching all the cars pass by all day long. Hoping that her 'person' was coming back for her. That was not happening! A Good Samaritan saw her on her way to work and started to feed and water her each day hoping to to win her trust. It was very likely she would have gotten hit and killed or picked up by dog fighters and used as a bait dog because of her sweet personality. On the third day Sadie jumped into her car! Sadie has been to the vet and is heart worm negative and a healthy one to two year old girl. She is getting spayed and vetted. She is about 45 lbs of pure love! She is a stunning brindle mix. Sadie has been staying with a family short term and shows no signs of aggression towards the 2 female Mini Doberman Pinchers, the Large male Pitbull/Rottweiler mix and she also shows no signs of aggression towards men and or teenagers. Her temperament is very sweet and loving and she listens very well. She Is learning to walk on a leash, is house trained and will become your best friend quickly. She loves to play and is very excited when she knows it's walk or play time. She's a little timid with new people as is common with dumped dogs but warms up quickly. She will make a wonderful family pet and her best home would be with a family who is home more than not and another dog friend and hopefully a fenced in yard to play in. She does not show much interest in cats at this point. Her adoption fee is $ 250 which includes all her vaccines, heartworm test, spay and micro chip. Please send us an e mail in order to receive an application. We are only able to meet with pre approved adopters by appointment since we do not have a shelter available to the public. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-11-16-00336Ellie (female)
'Ellie' Plott Hound mix Age 8 Ellie Hi my name is Ellie and I I've been homeless for a long time now. Going on years actually. I am one of the forgotten, the one nobody wants because I am older, I Was adopted from the shelter by a kind lady but when she brought me home I didn't get along with her cats so she gave me to a rescue and hopes that I would find a forever family. I was hopeful that first but it's been about two years and still no one has come for me. I'm an older girl, about eight years old and I'm not in the shape I used to be. I still love to run and play and I'm a big puppy at heart but I can feel my body slowing down. I would love a home where I can snuggle on the couch all day long. I would do best and only pet home with no small children. I do really great in my crate but would love a home where I wouldn't have to be in one. I would love to retire with someone who is already retired but that's not a requirement! Small children make me nervous so I would do best in a home with no children or just older children who understand that I'm an older girl. I am heartworm negative and fully vetted. Adoption fee is waived to an approved adopter. I would make a great companion for someone who is lonely and needs a fur-baby to love on. If you or anyone you know fits this description please let us know because I am so tired of waiting for my forever family. I have so much love to give and no one to give it to.
