Urgent: This animal could be euthanized if not adopted soon.

Animal ID: BOWIENEEDS A FOSTER NOW (male)

Plott Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

I'm BOWIE, a super handsome but super sad lad. My adoptive family recently left me at a shelter even though they promised to love me furever. They were unhappy with me because I didn't adjust well to the invisible fence. Every time that thing on my neck beeped I would crouch in terror unable to move, waiting to be jolted with a painful shock. Instead of putting up a garden fence or just walking me on a leash, they insisted I learn to accept the invisible fence. I couldn't do that, so I just stayed close to the house where I knew it was safe. They tried to force me and I would growl because I was terrified. Wouldn't you? So they just ... (Read More)dumped me at a cold and lonely shelter and walked away.*** Who does that to someone they say they will love furever? Would you do that to me? I'm a super sweet, friendly, affectionate boy. I'm house broken, crate trained, and I walk well on my leash. I'm a 2-year-old, 50 lb., male lab/hound mix who will do anything for a treat. I love other dogs big and small and would love to have a furfriend. I'm energetic and would be a great running or hiking buddy. I'm hoping to live with a fun and active person who's an experienced dog owner, someone who is loving and kind and fair. I'd love a real fenced-in yard where I can run and play or just relax and take in the sights and sounds of the season. So please if you could foster, foster-to-adopt or just adopt me, hurry and come get me soon. *** When Bowie was first rescued, he was so so happy. He came off the transport with a wiggly butt and big smile on his face and greeted everyone he met with a big kiss. As his pictures show, now he is sad and not doing well in the kennel. He is starting to show signs of depression--not eating and laying around most of the time, staring at 4 walls. He's literally in solitary confinement and he needs out of the kennel now. Otherwise he may decline to a point where there is no choice but to euthanize him. Please step up and help this sweet boy get back the joy he knew just a few months ago. If you can foster, foster-to-adopt or just adopt BOWIE please email us and let us know. *** (Less)

Plott Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet BOSCO an adorable 2 year old 65lb mastiff/hound mix in urgent need of a foster or forever home. BOSCO was just rescued from death row in an overcrowded shelter in the south where he was a volunteer favorite. Shelter volunteers say: 'He was running around the lake for days before being caught. He is a very calm, chill, sweet man! He sat and let me pull ticks off of him and licked me on the nose while doing it. He walked well on a leash, was good with other dogs, and did great with the cat - he just watched her run by him as he sat there wagging his tail! He really seems to be a great guy!' There will be much more about this sweet man ... (Read More)very soon. If you would like to foster, foster-to-adopt or adopt BOSCO, please email us at info@lulusrescue.org. BOSCO is neutered and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee is $400. Please note that training is highly recommended for all dogs. Animal ID: 12825922Riley (female)

Plott Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Riley is a sweet and gentle, wiggly 7 year old hound, boxer mix who loves to run and sunbathe in the warmer months. She is about 50 lbs and can really eat despite her slender look! Riley is super soft, especially her ears and has a beautiful brindle coat. Beware of her tail - it's pretty fierce when she's excited! She loves treats, peanut butter filled Kongs, Nyla bones, obeying commands, nice walks, activities outdoors. She is great in the car too so take her along with you on your adventures! Riley is pretty chill and quiet but a good protector with her bark when strangers comes around. Riley can be an anxious dog with sudden sounds, ... (Read More)strangers, and when children approach her. She needs someone to reassure it's ok and she is safe. Because of this she would be better in a house without young children. She is housebroken, a quick rule follower and is fine to be home alone for stretches of time. She has been so loved and such a joy to her current family but has had a hard time with the youngsters in the family. Her current family is heart broken to let her go but hope to find her an active family, without children, who has time to love and have fun with Riley. Please email us at AlmostHome4Dogs@yahoo.com to find out if Riley is the right one for you! (Local adoptions preferred - Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

'You make me dizzy, Miss Izzy; girl I wish you were mine' IZZY is a very pretty, super sweet, affectionate and special 35 pound, 5 yr old female boxer/hound mix . Once very shy and reserved, Izzy now wakes up each morning and happily greets her people and the day. In IZZY's world a great day starts with a hearty breakfast, followed by a good walk and then some playtime. She spends much of the day in the home office quietly enjoying a nylabone or outside on the patio taking in the sights and sounds of the season. Her foster mom says IZZY is a total lovebug, eager to please, obedient and so easy to care for--she's house broken, crate trained, ... (Read More)great on a leash and has excellent house manners. Animal ID: BANDITBANDIT Thief of Hearts (male)

Plott Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

WARNING, watch out dog lovers, there's a thief in your midst and I'm coming for your heart and home. Hello. I'm BANDIT! When I was brought into the shelter I quickly became a volunteer favorite. They named me BANDIT, thief of hearts, because I steal everyone's heart with my happy-go-lucky personality (plus I have an heart shaped brindle patch on my right side). My foster dad is my biggest fan and he says 'Bandit is a super sweet and lovable pup. He loves to be near you. He is all about belly rubs and loves spending time outside..even if its just to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the season. Bandit loves a soft place to ... (Read More)lay..his bed or yours! Bandit is happy to go on long walks or run around with friends.' So you can see I'm super people and dog friendly, and I did well when I was cat tested. I don't know about kids because I haven't lived with them. I'm sure I'd do great with older, well behaved kids but I might be a little too playful for small children. So in closing, I'm an 18 month old, pittie/boxer/hound all american mutt mix who weighs about 55lbs. I'm housebroken, crate and leash trained, generally calm and quiet, and have good house manners. I'm a sweet I'm looking for a loving forever home. So if you have a special place in your heart and home for a handsome love bug like me, come get me soon, I'm BANDIT. BANDIT is neutered and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee is $400. Please note that training is highly recommended for all dogs. As with all rescue animals, breed determination cannot be validated without genetic testing. Visit WWW.LULUSRESCUE.ORG and click on the ADOPT tab for an overview of Lulu's Rescue adoption process.
